A Sump Pump Failure Warning Device!

Ground water entering the sump well through the drain tile is not being pumped out. The rising water has
lifted the float on the Cellar Saver and caused the magnet on the top end of the swing arm to move away
from the attached contact causing an alarm condition. Placement of the Cellar Saver should be about even
with the drain tile. Water backing up into the tile can cause pressure to build up under the basement floor
which may cause cracks.

1. No power...Check plug / circuit breaker.
2. Pump worn or burned out.
3. Debris in the pump impellers. Check for mud or
children's toys.
4. Sump pump float my be stuck or out of alignment.
5. Some states allow the sump water to be pumped
into the sanitary sewer. The sewer may be plugged.
6. In cold climates the weather end of where the flow
pipe brings the water out may be frozen.
7. The check valve may be stuck allowing water to
return into the well after being pumped out.
8. These are just a few reasons. If your pump fails
once, think about replacing it!
