INSTALLATION AND TESTING
1.  Using the packaged 11 inch tie-wrap, encircle the base of the
Cellar Saver where it is marked 'TIE' (see photo below ) and the
vertical flow pipe and tighten securely. The proper height is
about level with the sub floor drain tile. Make sure the swing
arm moves freely after installation.

2.  If you are installing the CS 2029 W, determine which set of
wires you will be using. The white wire is COMMON, the
RED
wire is N/O or NORMALLY OPEN and the GREEN or BLACK wire N/C
or
NORMALLY CLOSED. NOTE: When using the N/O circuit, the
resistor on the zone is placed in parallel with the terminals. If you are
using the
N/C circuit the resistor is place in series with the wires.

3.  Run wires from the security system to the selected wires of the
Cellar Saver. Connect them to a 24 hour zone that reports to a central
station and has an audible device that  can be heard in the event of a
sump pump failure.

4.  After installation, test the unit by lifting the float. Make sure it sends
a report to central station and that the audible alarm can be heard.
IT'S IMPERATIVE THAT THE ALARM SYSTEM BE MONITORED. If it's
not monitored and you're not home, have a set of hip boots close by!

OPTIONAL MOUNTING IDEAS
Another design feature of the Cellar Saver, Model 2029, is the moulded in boss for attaching a
piece of pipe strapping. On the rear top of the BASE unit you can attach the pipe strapping with a
small 4 x 1/4 screw. (see picture below ). Then use the pipe strapping in any way shape or form to
suit the installation problem. As seen below, it is used with a piece of wood over the sump well.
You can mount it to the sump well cover as well. If you cannot find the right size screw, try using hot
glue.
INSTALLATION WARNING
THE CELLAR SAVERS CANNOT BE USED IN HEAVY SLUDGE PITS, CESSPOOLS,
GREASE PITS OR ANY APPLICATION THAT CAN COMPROMISE THE MOVING
PARTS. NOR CAN IT WITHSTAND HIGH VOLTAGE OR CURRENT. IT MUST BE USED
WITH A LOW VOLTAGE ZONE ( 6 TO 12 VOLTS AND MILLI AMPS )ON A SECURITY
SYSTEM.
