| All Cellar Savers except Model CS-2029 B/O, are packaged with a 3/8 inch contact that's easily replaced should it ever go bad. The contact is removed by pulling it forward and out from its top, near the wires ( see photo below ) and cleared of the four finger-like holders. It was designed that way so that you would not have to remove the whole unit from the flow-pipe. We, at Cellar Saver, Inc., do not manufacture the contacts! We use the most reliable contacts on the market in attempt to give you a trouble free unit. We install these contacts on the Cellar Savers to save you time. As you are aware, the Cellar Saver is placed in the absolute worst environment in the home, a damp, dirty, bug infested sump well. ANYTHING ELECTRICAL WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL in such atmosphere! If, after the warranty period on one year, such failure occurs with the contact, PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE CELLAR SAVER FROM THE FLOW-PIPE! It is not necessary. Simply remove the bad contact and replace it with a new one. This procedure should only take a few minutes and you'll be up and running again. The Cellar Saver can also be purchased without a contact. Model CS 2029 B/O is shipped with the BASE, SWING-ARM, MAGNET and an 11 inch ZIP-TIE for those who prefer to use their own brand of contact. With the recommended cleaning and testing, the moving parts of the Cellar Saver should last many years. If a unit must be returned, please call for a RA number. A date code found on the reverse side of the SWING-ARM will be needed for all returns. NO UNITS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR RETURN WITH FAULTY CONTACTS! Contacts that are under warranty will be replaced.
