HOW TO SWITCH MAGNETS FROM ONE SLOT TO THE OTHER

The sealed magnet is shipped seated in SLOT #2 giving the unit an OPEN circuit. It was discovered that most installing dealers preferred an open circuit when programming any 24 hour zone. If you wish the CS-1829-C/O to be a CLOSED circuit, that opens on a alarm, simply remove the sealed magnet from SLOT #2 and insert it in SLOT #1! The magnet should come out easy by catching the upper lip with a finger nail and pulling it out. If it's in too tight, push it up from the bottom with a screw driver. Sometimes inserting it into the next slot it may catch the edge of the next slot midway down and seem to not want to go any further. Bring it back up and give the magnet a slight turn and push it back down. Most of the time this will work and the magnet will seat all the way down.
